Devonport QuayLink – TT-Line Terminal 3

Sabriam was contracted by Hazelbrady as a key subcontractor for Stage 1 of the East Devonport Port Upgrade. This stage marked a significant enhancement to critical marine infrastructure, aimed at improving port accessibility, structural capacity, and operational safety to support increased freight and commercial activity in Northern Tasmania.

Scope of Work:

  • Fabrication of Structural Steel Components: This involved the precision manufacturing of large-scale marine-grade structural steel elements, including load-bearing components, access structures, and platform supports.
  • On-Site Welding and Assembly: Execution of high-integrity structural and pipe welds in a challenging marine environment, utilising skilled tradespeople certified in pressure and structural welding techniques.
  • Structural Fabrication: Fabrication and installation of structural steel components to support pipeline infrastructure.
  • Installation Support and Fit-Out: Assisting with the positioning and installation of fabricated units, including alignment, bolting, and integration into existing marine structures.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: All works were completed to relevant marine construction codes and Australian standards (including AS/NZS 1554 for welding), with quality inspections and documentation completed in close coordination with Hazelbrady’s project management team.
